YAMHILL ENRICHMENT SOCIETY (YES)

YES transforms the lives of Yamhill County children through literacy and music enrichment without regard to the child’s religion, race, ethnicity, language, citizenship, gender status, or ability to pay.

Books and music inspire the spirit and feed the soul.  In partnership with the community and proven programs, YES provides access to inclusive literacy and music programs that help children dream more, learn more and be more.

Yamhill County Imagination Library puts books into the hands and hearts of children across Yamhill County. We partner with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to provide a hand-selected, age-appropriate, high-quality book each month to registered children from birth to age five.

Junior Orchestra of Yamhill County (JOY) music program is transforming lives through rigorous music instruction at Edwards Elementary School in Newberg. Modeled after the proven international El Sistema music program and Portland’s BRAVO, JOY brings joyful discipline and focus to the classroom, promoting the love of music as well as invaluable classroom and life skills.
