YAMHILL ENRICHMENT SOCIETY (YES)

YES transforms the lives of Yamhill County children through literacy and music enrichment without regard to the child’s religion, race, ethnicity, language, citizenship, gender status, or ability to pay.

Books and music inspire the spirit and feed the soul.  In partnership with the community and proven programs, YES provides access to inclusive literacy and music programs that help children dream more, learn more and be more.

Yamhill County Imagination Library puts books into the hands and hearts of children across Yamhill County. We partner with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to provide a hand-selected, age-appropriate, high-quality book each month to registered children from birth to age five.

The Junior Orchestra of Yamhill County (JOY) transforms the lives of Yamhill county children by providing access to quality, intensive in-school and after-school string and orchestral instruction by partnering with Newberg and McMinnville elementary schools. A member of the El Sistema movement in the United States and modeled after Oregon BRAVO in Portland, JOY promotes lifelong music appreciation and skills that lead to success in music, academics, and life.
